Life as such looks at the fundamental awkwardness and frequent discomfort of life, as well as its unexpected pleasures, and explores the processes of negotiating a comfortable position for ourselves in the world - physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, historically.

Another ridiculous thing with no editing programme

The invitation

Here's my 2c on the images we got from our collaboration on Wednesday ...
I think all the "outside looking in" images are a bit too like an advertisement for the gallery, and that the strongest two images we have are the ones from inside looking out with the Luas outside.

All I did with this one is straighten out the curve a bit.



Bearing in mind that we need to get this done this week and off to the print people by Monday (any volunteers to do that bit?), can we get the discussion going and make a decision ... sorry to nag!

Let me know if you have any problems seeing them. They are low-res to speed up the process. Just let me know which ones you want to work with and I will e-mail them on to you.

In terms of timescale, we need to be posting the invitations to people next weekend if they are to have them a week before the opening, which means (AAARGH!!!!) the artwork will have to go to the printers on Monday next, so we have to pick our image before that.

So let's get editing!

hey guys- never knew how to use this because i was never signed in- now things actually make sense. oh well the little things....

anyway, print24.ie do quite good deals and deliver within 7 days. its round 100 for 1000 cards -500cards wud only be slightly cheaper. check out the website for different options

hey guys, heres an email hannah hass been using before for sponsorship- haven t had time yet to change it for us, but thought i d post it anyway- in case u guys have some great ideas.

My name is Hannah Doyle and I am co-director of the art collective 'Moxie Dublin'. We are a group of twelve visual artists all based in Dublin.
'Moxie' was formed earlier in 2006, and together as a group we create work, organise exhibitions and and promote ourselves as visual artists. We create work in many disciplines, combining the everyday with the somewhat bizzare using a wide range of mediums, including video, sound, installation, drawing, painting, performance etc.

Our debut group exhibition entitled 'Without a Parachute' will take place at the end of January 2007. The exhibition takes place in 'The Back Loft', 7/11 St. Augustine Street, Dublin 8. The show opens on the 23rd of January and will continue until the 30th of January 2007.

We will have very good media coverage including television, newspaper and magazine advertisments.
Our invites will be posted to over 1000 people, we will have a poster campaign and the exhibition will be listed on many websites that have large daily hit counts.

We will be having a preview night for our invited guests and press on the 23rd of January from 6-9pm.
I was wondering if you would like to sponsor the exhibition by providing drinks for the preview night?
We would put your company logo on posters and invitations and we would mention the brand in all press releases. We can also link your website to ours. We would greatly appreciate your support.

Events update

The choir i'm in, Cantando, (or about two-thirds of it) are booked for a 30-minute performance of choral music on Saturday 21st at 5.30 p.m.

Not entirely sure where we'll fit 12-14 singers and, hopefully, an audience, but hey ...
